We’d like to bring you up to speed on new possibilities for live streaming on your Tradecast platform. Specifically about live streaming from a device using Apple’s iOS operating system.
As of now, Tradecast offers support for the popular live streaming application Larix, making it easier to live stream on your video platform from an iPad or iPhone running the iOS operating system.
To start a livestream from your iOS device, you first need the free application Larix from the Apple App Store. This app meets all the specifications to successfully start a live stream on your platform from an iOS device.
Once you have downloaded and installed the Larix app, you can log into your video platform’s CMS to create a live stream. You can find the steps to create a new live stream in your platform’s CMS on Tradecast Learn.
Once you have created the live stream, you will see the stream specifications ready to go in the CMS. You then copy this information into the Larix app. You can read how to take over the live stream settings from your video platform’s CMS into the Larix app on Tradecast Learn.
Good to know: the live stream iOS app ‘Live TC’ previously supported by Tradecast is no longer supported as of this writing. We recommend anyone who wants to livestream on their Tradecast platform from an iOS device to use the Larix app for this.
